Alert: Root Management Server Unavailable

Below are my troubleshooting about the RMS on SCOM 2007 R2

Symptoms:

Mail alert from SCOM not receive in mailbox

Symtoms:

Mail alert from SCOM not receive in mailbox

Root cause:

Alert: Root Management Server Unavailable

Alert description: The root management server (HealthService) is running but has reported limited functionality soon after 7/2/2012 9:09:58 PM. The specific reason code is 49 and description is " The health manager has detected that entity state collection has stalled. ".

Pada Operation Management Console, Management Server is Grayed Out and Critical

Workarround:

1. Stop Service System Center Mangement

2. Rename folder Helath Service State pada folder D:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\Helath Service State

3. Start Serivice System Center Management

4. Resatart services System Center Management Configuration

Result : Root Management Server is Healhty (done)
