When i was one of support to the customer, all of a sudden I got a report from the team helpdesk that users can not log into Lync Client with the following error:

The Server is not responding or cannot be reached. Sign-in may be delayed while we retry the connection…

And the problem can resolve with below troubleshooting

Symptoms:

User cannot login to Microsoft Lync

Root cause:

  1. Service SQL Server (RTCLOCAL) not started
  2. Service Lync Server Front-End and all service Lync Server not started (just several services up)

workarround:

  1. Start SQL Server (RTCLOCAL) services
  2. Start Lync Server Front-End Services
  3. Start service at Lync server which doesnt started

Result:

User can Logon onto Lync client again

    In computer management services I cannot see all these services you mentioned here.
