SCOM 2012 Installation [Part I]

In this section, i will share step-by-step SCOM 2012 Installation, before you install SCOM 2012, you can install SQL Server 2008 R2

No. Task Capture
1. Open PowerShell, and then type servermanagercmd –install net-framework –restart clip_image002
2. Add roles

· Static content

· Default document

· Directory browsing

· http errors


· Isapi extensions

· Isapi filters

· Windows Authentication

· IIS 6 Metabasecompability

· IIS 6 WMI Compability

Click Next, and Install

4. Install SQL Server 2008 R2, insert source SQL Server 2008 R2 and run. choose New Installation or add feature to an existing installation clip_image010
5. Make sure no failed, and then click OK clip_image012
6. On Product key windows, choose Enter The Product key, and then click Next clip_image014
7. On License Terms windows, choose I accept the license terms, and then click Next clip_image016
8. Make sure no failed, and then click Next clip_image018
9. On Setup Role windows, choose SQL Server Feature Installation, and then click Next clip_image020
10. On Feature Selection windows, select features below:

Database Engine Services, SQL Server Replication, Full-Text Search, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Bussines Intelligence Development Studio, Client Tools Connectivity, Integration Services, Management Tools-Basic, and Management Tools-Complete. On the Shred feature directory & Shared feature directory (x86), you can change drive for store the installation. And then click Next

11. On the Installation Rules windows make sure no Failed, and then click Next clip_image024
12. On the Instance Configuration windows, you can set your Instance ID, if you selected Default instance, by default instance name is MSSQLSERVER. And then click next clip_image026
13. On Disk Space Requirements windows, you can see the Disk Usage Summary, and then click Next. clip_image028
14. On Server Configuration windows, set the Automatic startup type for all except SQL Full-text Filter Daemon Launcher and SQL Server Browser, and then click next. clip_image030
15. On Database Engine Configuration windows, you can choose Authentication mode type. In this blog, author using Mixed Mode (SQL Server authentication and windows authentication), and then select the specify SQL Server administrator, and then click Next. clip_image032
16. Choose user for account provissioning, and then click Next clip_image034
17. On Reporting Services Configuration windows,choose Install the native mode default configuration, and then click Next clip_image036

19. Make sure no failed, and then click Next clip_image040

22. Installation Completed, click close clip_image046
